This was the first Sunday of Advent, a season of looking to the coming of Christ.

“He rules the world with truth and grace, and makes the nations prove the glories of his righteousness and wonders of his love… How marvelous, how wonderful is my Savior’s love for me.”

“Born thy people to deliver, born a child and yet a king, born to reign in us forever, now thy gracious kingdom bring.”

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” - John 13:34-35

“What heights of love, what depths of peace, when fears are stilled when strivings cease! My comforter, my all in all, here in the love of Christ I stand.”
