We’ve recently completed membership interviews with several people and asked some of them to talk about why they’ve become part of the Christ Church family. Here’s Kevin Grasso’s story:
I am 20 years old from Cumming, GA. Before my conversion, I grew up partly in the catholic church and partly at Northpoint Community Church. When I was 17, the Holy Spirit awoke me to the reality of Christ for the first time. I have led a Bible study in my hometown for over two years and pastored a church for about 4 months. Now I live in Athens and I am going to be a Sophomore at UGA in the Spring where I will be studying Religion and Communications.
Ephesians 2:7 says that there are “immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus” that He will reveal to us in the coming ages. That means God’s grace and love towards us cannot be comprehended; it is infinite, a bottomless ocean. That being the case, there is nothing else even worthy of our attention. Simply put, I want to spend my life diving as deeply as possible into this bottomless ocean and bring as many people as I can along with me. I think Christ Community Church can help me see this Gospel more clearly and help me to lead others to it. For no other reason would joining a church be worth it.
