Coming This Sunday, October 23

This Sunday, October 23, we’ll be gathering at the 130 Foundry Building at 10 AM & 12 PM.

In Luke 8:22-25, Jesus saves his closest friends from drowning, leaving the men more terrified of Jesus than the storm that almost sunk their boat and wondering who Jesus is. This is a story that gives us an opportunity to talk about the storms in our lives and what we do when we realize that Jesus uses those storms to bring us into deeper grace.

Worship Set List:

We worship a holy God who is all perfect, powerful and glorious. He is worthy of all our praise and affection.

We sing praises to God for who He is and and what He’s done. “Hallelujah, glory be to our great God!” “Hail Him who saves you by His grace, and crown Him Lord of all!”

God doesn’t forget us. He is a loving father who hears and answers our prayers and is actively working for our good.

“And they went and woke him, saying, ‘Master, Master, we are perishing!’ And he awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging waves, and they ceased, and there was a calm.” - Luke 8:24

The answer to our fear is Jesus. The answer to our weakness is Jesus. Life is hard, but Jesus, the Lord of all, is enough.

Coming This Sunday, October 16

This sunday, October 16, we’ll be gathering at the 130 Foundry Building at 10 AM & 12 PM.

After taking a week off from our journey through Luke’s story about the life of Jesus, Matt will jump back in at Luke 8:16-21 and talk about why we should listen to Jesus.

Worship Set List:

“No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light. For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light.” - Luke 8:16-17

We worship a God who is holy. A God who is mighty. A God who’s glory fills the world we live in.

Just for who He is and what He’s done, there is much worth to what Jesus says to us. Listen! “Take care then how you hear, for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away.” - Luke 8:18

As we come to the Lord’s table, it is a communal response of all confession, dependence and worship for us to say “We struggle, we need Jesus and we worship God for being a loving father who has provided for our great need.”

Then his mother and his brothers came to him, but they could not reach him because of the crowd. And he was told, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, desiring to see you.” But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it.” - Luke 8:19-21  As adopted children of God, we have an adopted story that makes us family with our Savior and gives us a relationship with our Lord.

Coming This Sunday

This sunday, October 9, we’ll be gathering at the 130 Foundry Building at 10 AM & 12 PM.

Lead Pastor Matt Adair will be speaking this Sunday reflecting on the LoveLife Conference from Saturday. This is what he has to say,

“On Saturday, Mark Driscoll challenged all of us to take steps to rewire our love life and set up our marriages to end well. On Sunday, I am going to help us understand how that change can actually happen as we look at Jesus’ words in John 13:34-35.”

Here’s our worship setlist for the gathering:

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” - Psalm 23:4

God saves sinners. His love for us is greater than any we could ever hope to find in this world. We get to respond to this one great love by singing and praising Him for His love and the redemption he brings to our lives.

“Who shall we say You are? You’re the living God! Who shall we say You are? You’re the Great I AM! The highest name of all, You’re all You say You are!”

The Holy Spirit is our ultimate helper. God grants us direct access to himself and is at work to show us His glory and love for us in everyday time and space.

We have been adopted into the of family of the King of the universe. His love for us is immeasurable. His glory is matchless.
